Are my original photos harmed?

Absolutely not. Your original photos are handled carefully. The scanning process does not harm them. Further, the digital scan preserves a copy of your original in its current state.

Can I email you files?
Yes, you can. But remember that digital retouching requires very high resolutions. Always scan and save at the highest resolution you have available.
High resolution scans are very large, and you might have trouble emailing them.

How long will the photos last?
The exact amount of time a photo will last depends on a number of factors, such as how much light and humidity it's exposed to over its lifetime. My quality prints look better and last longer than standard photographic prints.

If longevity is important to you, choose my archival quality printing. Your photos are printed using archival inks and papers, rated to resist fading for over 200 years with proper care.

How long will the digital archive last?
Kodak restoration CDs are expected to last 300 years with proper care.

Why does the process cost so much?
While I work on a computer, there is no automated process which repairs and restores photographs. I retouch every inch of every photo by hand, to restore as much of your original photo as humanly possible.
